I think Andy Weir may not be entirely for me. I liked this one just like I liked The Martian. I wish I could say that I loved it but it was just fine. I am not a science fiction reader, for the most part. I'm not opposed to sci-fi but it's not my go-to genre. I think Andy Weir does a great job making science make sense to the novice (aka: me) but his books seem to be heavy on the detailed descriptions of all the science which is just not compelling to me. . What a wonderful book! I might even like it better than The Martian which I also loved. But I LOVE Mark Watney both in print and as Matt Damon. Ryland Grace is also funny, sarcastic, super science nerd but (view spoiler)

I did not expect to enjoy this as much as I did.
The world is dying, and a science teacher is sent from earth to help save the Sun (and the Earth).
He meets with an alien, and the two must work together to fix the issue and save their respective worlds.
