Calla is an alpha currently in the Nightshade pack. She and Ren (an alpha currently in the Bane pack) will marry on Samhain and reign as co-leaders over a new pack called the Haldis pack. She and her pack are Guardians, protectors of the Keepers and guardians of the sacred sites. She’s never questioned how things work or why they are the way they are. She’s known how things would be her whole life and had accepted her fate. When Shay Doran comes into her life, however, he makes her question the ...more

This book was so ridiculous I don’t even know what to do. I got to the part about Hobbes and how he was connected to the Keepers and I giggled and giggled and giggled. I don’t know why THAT struck me as so funny when I just accept so much other ridiculous stuff in my YA paranormal books. It was to much like the Twilight books. The story was interesting but it quickly became a book about a girl that could not and would not make a decision. I probably will read the next one or how many other will come after because I want to know the ending.

It was good- suspenseful. This was set up as a Romeo and Juliet story from the first page. I kept hoping the book would surprise me and not play out that way. No such luck. At the end of the book, she runs off with Shay.
