What did you think of Stormwalker and Iron King? I've had my eye on both for a while. Congrats on getting to 95!
@Sans - Thanks. I loved Iron King I totally recommend it. It has everything from romance to humor to action to suspense. Stormwalker I liked too its not on my all time favorite list but I'll continue the series.
How was Book of Love? I have a sample on my Kindle app and it was interesting but my library doesn't have it and I wasn't sure if it was good enough to justify the cost. Isn't the second book coming out in a few months?
@ Sans - I liked Book of Love. The shifting view points took a little getting use to and while they shift very frequently I like that it was usually the view point that I wanted to see the story from at the time. Overall it was a nice introduction to the characters and the series but I am hoping for more development of the characters and the Knight Angel world in the sequel. I can't quite picture it in my head as of yet. I will continue the series though because I want to know what happens next I have so many questions that I want answers too. The second book is already out well at least on Amazon I am waiting for it to be available at B&N since I own a Nook and ebooks made for the Kindle aren't compatible.
Ahh, good to know. Forewarned is definitely best when the book has the potential to be confusing or a bit flat. Thanks!
@ Lisarenee - I really liked Voices of Dragons it was my first Carrie Vaughn novel and I liked her writing style it was easy to get into and follow along so I going to see if she has any other series out there for me to add to my to be read list. The book wasn't exactly what I expected but I liked where it took me nonetheless. The characters and the world she created were really believable. I can't wait till the next book.Oh if you have a nook or a nook app check out my nook-lendable shelf if your interested in borrowing any of my lendable books. =)
Thanks for the information. I've got a nook application for my iPad, but haven't used it yet. I've kind of stayed with the kindle so far. I'll check out your shelf. Thanks.
If you have a Nook or a Nook app feel free to browse my lendable shelf some of these are on there n I'd be happy to lend. =)
Wow I didn't know the Nook could do that. Just out of curiosity, how long do you get to read a book when it is lent to you? And unfortunately I am Nook-less, but I'll still take a look at your shelf.
14 days which is good but you can only lend it out once which is a bummer but I have about 50 plus lendable books I can still lend out.
Tai, Did you actually read Unearthly? I didn't think it'd been released yet. I agree with Sans. That is an awesome list you have going.
Lucky you. I'll have to read it. Kept meaning to ask you if you had reviews up for your reads somewhere.
I'm not very good about writing reviews although I'm trying to be better at making it a priority. I always review ARCs I receive n try to review at least one other book I read that week. Maybe I'll start putting here for movtivation to get them written =)

- So far so good this book totally lived up to my expectations. 4/5 Stars. The reason it didn’t get 5 star rating is because once again Christophe and his use of foreign words which yea I figure from the context are endearing words for Dru like honey or sweetie but I’m only guessing and it bugs me that it is never translated in the book. Also there is a lot of repetition in this book with exact word for word replays of scenes that happen not only in the first book but within this book as well. That alone was worth a one star drop in the rating. Other than that I was happy with the book. Especially getting to see more development of Graves’ character. I’m really liking the direction Lili St Crow took with Graves. Dru while she still amuses me that new lack of direction, mopey attitude just didn’t suit her and I for one was hoping she snapped out of it sooner but I did like the effect it add on Graves so I can live with it. The new characters introduce into this book were great Dibs is my favorite I want one just like him of my very own. =) Shanks kept me laughing and helped balance out the group well once he was taken down a few notches that is. ;) I really like the view into the werewulf kids normal day to day life while brief I found that interesting and am hoping to a similar view into the half human/half vampire kids life outside of school in the future. The storyline kept me in engrossed even though I felt like I was constantly waiting for something big to happen it wasn’t slow paced at all I feel like a enough crumbs of information and action is thrown in keeping the story even paced. All in all a very good read. 130.

- I really liked this book it had an original storyline and it was very explanatory in the mythology behind the story. At no point was I confused as to how the Angelfire world worked thus I was heavily engrossed in this book from the beginning up to the very end. Action within the book….Phenomenal! I loved the fighting scenes such detail. There’s romance of that Romeo and Juliet nature which to me beats love triangle any day. I will admit that I do have questions but as this is the first of the series that is to be expected even though this book ended at a happy medium for me. As for the characters while Ellie is my favorite the book being from her point of view I heart Ellie’s BFF Kate. Kate had me cracking up. The friendship aspect of the book was well developed, it felt very natural. Will as the hot male lead covers all the basics (perfect yet flawed) so all in all he is yummy. I am looking forward to joining these characters again in the next installment
This book was skillfully written pulling me into the Angelfire world from the very first page with believable characters, well developed plot with a steady pace and refreshing creativity. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. 4/5 stars. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.
I've had the first book in the Strange Angels series for over a year now and have yet to read it. Angelfire is a must read for me.
It was a good start to the series. I liked it but I like it more now that I read the other books in the series as the first was lot to take in trying to figure out what was going on and piece all the information together. It wasn't confusing it was just you got bits and pieces of information at a time. But overall I liked the book it was well worth the $.99. =)
