So it took me a little while to get into this story. It wasn't the typical world building or even the introduction to multiple wolf packs.
it was the love triangle. UGH! It makes me want to pull my own hair out!! and then slap all parties involved.
The back story about the world was pretty indepth and pretty cool. But, werewolves aren't my typical genre - and this is not my typical kind of book. But I didn't mind it in this one. There wasn't a lot of lore, just enough to keep the story interesting ...more

I really liked the writing here. The flow was good, and it was never slow. Unfortunately, this book falls victim to the love triangle of death that has been killing my enjoyment of most YA novels lately. I don't mind a little romance in my books. In fact, I prefer it. But I'm talking about a little romance. And I'm sick to death of love triangles. To me, it shows a definite lack of imagination and creativity on the part of the author. The lore was truly interesting but I did not like the characters at all. I'm not sure if I'll read Wolfsbane, though the ending kind of forces my hand.

Quite good, loved the cover but the story - not as much! Not a big fan of any of the characters but it didnt make me feel I was wasting my time.
