I so wanted to love this book because I'm such a fan of TJR. The writing was fantastic as always. And the first half of the book flew by and really drew me in. I loved the Malibu setting, both in the 1950s/60s and I enjoyed the sibling dynamic between Nina, Hud, Kit, and Jay. Their parents were a mess, but I loved that Nina was the ultimate oldest child and that their love of surfing bonded them together.

I had heard about this book and this author and it has been sitting on my to-read list for a while now and as Carrie Soto is Back was creeping closer, I figured I would read this one now. The book starts by introducing us to Nina Rivera - she is married to Brandon who is a tennis player and currently cheating on her with fellow tennis star Carrie Soto. This is the first book I’ve read in a while and I loved it. I’ve always loved this author and this is another great story from here. What a wild ride - I loved it.
