I'm having a really hard time trying to decide how to rate this one. The style of writing drives me nuts. I'd read a paragraph and realize I had no idea who was talking, what had just happened, or what it meant. I've had the same problem with the staccato style of other books from the same era. At the same time, there's no denying the story is compelling, as much now as when it was originally written.
