It took me a long time to read this short book. I really had trouble with the shallow personalities and lack of depth to the characters. Even though this is a fairy tale style book it seemed extremely young adult and the writing felt too young for even my 14 year old daughter. I was really hoping for more based off all the positive reviews. I've enjoyed many other young adult books over the years. Maybe my expectations were too high. ...more
