2nd attempt:
This was much easier to get through on audio. I didn't get as bored, and if I did, I was usually actively doing something, like driving or cleaning, that made it bearable. The story here was pretty interesting, there were just some very dry parts. I will continue on in the series when new books come out.

This story is compelling, convoluted, and creepy. 🙂

It also has the potential to be very triggering…
👻 For a novel about occult university societies, I was expecting a generous helping of sex, drugs, and (duh) occultism. 🔮 Maybe even some human sacrifice. 💀But I was really bothered by the (very unexpected) rape of a 12 year old by a ghost. 😱 Enjoy this tale at your own risk.

The ending was excessively full of twists that broke the story’s flow and believability.
