Shelves: fantasy, 2018-finished

3.5 stars
Definitely an interesting read. Was mixed between liking it and loving it. There were parts that didn't quite capture my interest but in the end those parts tied the story together.
In the beginning I didn't care much for Rin but as the story progressed , this underdog, really starting shining. I admired her determination.

Overall this was a nice fresh read with a different aspect to the fantasy genre. ...more

Can definitely tell this was about WW2. It's a little jarring to read this book and to see the hate from the two countries even if they had another name in the book.
If I didn't know that, I think the book would have been much more enjoyable. ...more
