Love this series! Love, love, love it!! I really enjoyed Rachel Caine's Morganville vampire series, but this has become my favorite of hers. If you're going to start this series - make sure you have ALL the books. Book 2 and now Book 3 end at crisis points and it's impossible not to pick up the next book. Having said that....I do have to re-read my own book for an upcoming in depth book discussion. Once that's done, then I'll be onto Smoke and Iron. ...more

This is the third book in the Great Library series and it picks up right where book 2's cliffhanger left off. The group has been transported to Philadelphia and is now in the burner camp. Thomas and Jess promise to build the burners a printing press while the rest of their group looks for a way to escape. Once again there is a cliffhanger heading into the next book. I like the idea of the Great Library of Alexandria still existing but they have become censors greatly restricting access to books. ...more

Ash and Quill is the best one of the books so far of the series. The pace moved much better than the previous books.
I'm enjoying the growth of each of the characters and the growth of the relationships between all of them. ...more
