Hello Team, I'm Paula, I'm from Chile (Southamerica, spanish is my native language), I'm a 26 y-o engineering student at University of Chile.I know almost nothing about Star Wars, but it didn't stop me from participating in this challenge. I love team challenges, and I hope we all have a great time =).
My favorite books are the Harry Potter series and Alice in Wonderland =)

Has anyone particpated in Tower Teams before? How was your experience?
Hello everyone, I'm Stephanie and I'm from Australia. I recently moved from Sydney to New Castle and my reading suffered a bit but I'm starting to get back into it so I'm really excited to jump back into a team challenge, this will be my first one since the last Tower Teams.My favourite series is Immortals After Dark series by Kresley Cole, and of course Harry Potter.
I have never watched Star Wars before but I love the Tower Teams challenge so I couldn't not join in on all the fun.
I have participated in 2 other Tower Team challenges and I had a lot of fun reading and talking with my team mates, looks like I have only been on a team with Kimberly before so really looking forward to getting to know all of you.

Hello guys! I'm Shantavia from the state of Georgia. I am also in my second year of university. I am behind on a lot of books, because I basically stopped reading for about two years. I am back reading though and trying to catch up on so many books and series. My favorite series is the A Court and Thorns and Roses series so far. Hopefully I add more to my list once I start finishing up some series.
I have never watched Star Wars either and I probably won't ever, but that's okay. I am excited for this challenge. This is my first time participating in this challenge so I am ready to see how it goes.

Hi, I'm KaZaam from the Philippines. married, have 4 kids aged 19, 17, 15 and 10. I'm a tax lawyer and also a tax professor in one of the law schools here in the Philippines. The tax season is finally over so I will now have a lot of time to read.I have, of course, watched all episodes of Star Wars and loved each one of them. I even used to have VHS tapes of the Star Wars Trilogy but I don't know where they are now.
Despite my age, I like YA (but not YA romance), Dystopian, Fantasy, Paranormal (but not vampires and zombies), Urban Fantasy, Mystery Suspense and Thriller, Historical Fiction and a bit of Romance. I am not much of a non-fiction fan. Here is my shelf.

Hi, everyone! I didn't realize the threads were opened until today, so I'm a bit late on my introduction!I'm Emily and I live in the Midwest United States. I'm a full-time librarian and (hopefully, since I haven't been accepted yet) will be starting grad school for a master's in Library and Information Science in the Fall!
I've seen all the Star Wars movie and love them, but I wouldn't say I'm super knowledgeable in all the little details and trivia. Harry Potter, on the other hand, I could answer anything and everything!
I read just about anything, though reading nonfiction is a rare occurrence because I have a hard time staying focused on it. My favorite, though, is YA Fantasy and I am a total sucker for a cute, cheesy romance - though my favorites of those tend to be NA rather than YA.
I participated in the last Tower Teams and I loved it because it allows you to the freedom to read whatever you want and is great for anyone no matter if they read 1 book a week or 5 books a week. I'll check in as often as I can and would love to chat, but I work a lot and if I'm not working, I'm reading or sleeping. But I will do whatever I can to get us some good points!
If you ever want to chat about something with me, go ahead and add me as a friend and shoot me a message. I very easily get lost in threads and have a bad habit of not seeing things people say to me in them - so I promise I'm not ignoring you if I don't respond!

Hi Everyone! My name is Barbara, although I generally go by BarbaraAnn since there's a lot of Barbara's on GR. I live in the Chicagoland area. There's some exceptions, but generally, I don't care for YA or drama, but read almost any other genre. This will be my first Tower Teams game, I've missed the last few Star Wars movies, but have seen all the previous movies and read some of the novels.

Question for the captains - though I can ask in the Q&A as well if it's not known - last time I did the TT challenge, in the spreadsheet there was a list of mini-goals that were worth a couple points. Things like "Read a book written by a female author" or "Read a book with magic" - do we know if they are going that again or is this challenge purely reading?

I even read 3 different types of behind the scenes, character type books that were really cool to read. the best one was
I would totally recommend it to anyone interested in finding out more about the movie and characters.
My son and I are listening to the Harry Potter audiobooks together and then watching the movies. I waited to read the series until he was old enough.:)

You have to see the fantastic beasts movie, it's soooooo good. I even heard that the next one is coming out in 2018, really excited for that.
Nope I haven't seen any of the movies either. I plan on reading the 1st book then watching the corresponding movie and do the same with each book and movie

Shockingly, though, my choice of books that I read in my spare time is not on the literary side. I read solely romance-every sub genre under romance- historical, contemporary, chick lit, thriller, suspense, paranormal, semi-erotic. Basically I'll read any book that has a guy and girl who fall in love and don't die or get separated by the end of the book (even if the romance is just a sub plot in the back ground)And.. after that very long intro -haha- my shelf is Here

Hi to everyone!I used to read a lot of romance when I was younger but seems that my taste in books have changed over the years. I don't like YA romance so much because I feel a lot of them are so unrealistic...but I still read them once in a while, I enjoy contemporary and historical romance more.
I also love Harry Potter! I discovered the first book in 1999 (no Goodreads yet at the time) and was instantly hooked. I have watched all the HP movies with the kids including Fantastic Beasts.
Nice to meet you Ella, I'm the same, I will read any genre as long as it has romance in it, gotta have a HEA to make me happy.I'm the same KaZaam, when I was younger all I read was YA but as I got older my tastes changed, I didn't like that the majority or them have love triangles and it take the whole series the get a HEA and of course the guy or girl might not end up with the person you want them to.
I started reading HP in 2005 I think, right after the 4th movie came out, I wasn't into read much at that point but after reading them I became obsessed and haven't stopped (and I don't want to).

Nice to meet you all =)I'm loving that we're potterheads ahaha, I started the series back in 2001 when I was 11 y-o before the first movie came out (my mom forced me to read HP1) and I've been an obsessive fan ever since =P, I know almost everything about the Potterverse (including Pottermore and Fantastic beasts)
My favorite book from Harry Potter is Half-Blood Prince, but the movie is awful! They forgot so many important details!

Thanks for sending a message Paula, this is the first I heard that our teams were selected haha.I'm Brittany from Montana, live in Texas. The odd man out as I am not a potterhead. I love the universe I love the creatures And I like a lot of ancillary characters but I abhor both Ron and Harry haha. The movies just made me mad with how far they deviated from the books and cut out some of the best and most redeeming parts. I've never been a part of Tower Teams before either.
My favorite book would be the Kushiel Trilogy by Jacqueline Carey.
I'm not sure on a favorite movie, I love so many.

I'm from Victoria Australia I have 3 daughters aged 30, 25 and 24. I have never played Tower before just joined on a whim not knowing anything about it. I take it from the comments that it has something to do with Star Wars which is awesome as I have seen all the movies and loved them particularly the earlier ones. I run a post office and news agency in a small country town which means I get to read by Audio while sorting and delivering mail. Sadly not much time to read paper books. I love sci-fi and fantasy but don't mind a romance if its not mushy or conceited. Yes I have read Harry Potter, I bought it for my youngest daughter when it came out. I ofter read the books they were reading as kids and still do to this day. In March and April this year I re-read the series on Audio. Can anyone who has played Tower before shed some light on how it works.

Hello everyone, I am Yesha from India. I am a housewife. 2 yrs before I left job because of minor stroke and started reading during time of recovery. I recovered from stroke but not from reading. So, I have lot of time to read and recently started writing book blog. I really enjoy fast-paced books. I try to read all genre with interesting stories but fantasy, fiction, YA, and mystery are my all time favorite. This is first time I am participating in this group. I was obsessed with Pottermore when it first came out, had a blast going through the books and making potions and doing spells.
My favourite book is Order of the Phoenix and my favourite movie is Deathly Hallow part 2,

Hi Gillian, so Tower teams is our team reading for points through page numbers and BOM and DQ's (BOM and DQ's are optional, you don't have to participate in them if you don't want to) and competing against a whole bunch of other teams for 1st place, but it's also about making friends, reading and talking a lot about books, just having fun.
