Shelves: physical-book, 2016

Well for me this book is 4.75, it is a book that made think how much I don't know the English history. It is a book that made me want to read books about that era. It is a first time that I read something of these three authors, but for sure not the last.
The plot was very interesting, even thought this book has three points of view, it was so fluent. I liked the small brakes that explained what was going on the plot, it was like having a commercial brake on a tv show.

This was a fun, light read, which is perfect for me right now. My brain doesn't want to focus on anything heavier. I read the second one in this series first, and it doesn't matter at all what order you read them in, because they're not connected. I think I liked the second a bit better, but they were both good. ...more

oh this book made me laugh. I love a.. historical comedy(?) it turns out. love the twist on related life events and the authors, or narrators, throwing in some amazing one liners that just make you laugh!

This book was perfect from beginning to end, full of intrigue, mystery, magic, comedy, action, and romance. I LOVED the narrators' voice popping in every now and again to let the reader know true facts, deviation from history, or just to calm the reader's nerves. I'd be surprised if that part of the story wasn't inspired by The Princess Bride. I'd also be surprised if the Edian magic, and more specifically Jane's and G's animal transformations and timing of said change, weren't inspired by Lady ...more
