What Members Thought
I like the setting very much and the mystery was pretty good even if it's rather slow. However, the characters annoy me so much!! It didn't quite start out that way though as I think they were okay at the beginning but halfway through, I was getting quite frustrated with all their choices.

3.5 stars. I liked this book a lot in spite of the flaws in the middle. It seemed to derail a bit but then the author pulled it back together again. My interest was piqued and mostly kept. I think the high rating is mainly that I haven't read anything like it before.

I honestly couldn't get into the book. The first 50 pages were interesting to me, but after that, I felt like it dragged something terrible and by the time everything kicked back up, I just couldn't get into it anymore. If this wasn't my book clubs read, I probably would have stopped reading this one half way through.

I did enjoy this book but I feel like it was very busy. I'm not sure all readers would follow the complexities of this story as it is written in one read.
