I see myself continuing this series. It's been interesting story. With all the special abilities with metals. Plus trying to take over an empire. With thieves, betrayal, friendship etc.
I like this story. I'm knocking off a star for the falling in love a bit unexpectedly. But Vin was a interesting character she totally grew up and learn to trust others.

I've decided to stop torturing myself, and give up on this book halfway through. I'm surprised at how I didn't enjoy this, as I'm a big fan of Sanderson's latest book! The magic system is, as mentioned in many other reviews, very complicated and well explained. The trouble is that for me it was confusing and a bit boring - too many lengthy explanations of how it works. The characters feel a bit flat and two dimensional. They fill the standard fantasy roles, but I never got the impression that th

I don't think I have ever taken this long to read a book before! Almost two months to finish! I thought it was really interesting but it dragged on and on!

What would happen if the hero of prophecies failed to defeat evil and save the world? What if one evil was defeated simply to be replaced by another? Many believed that he was a god and immortal, so powerful that all rebellions were swatted like an annoying fly. One man, however, revives hope. He gathers a band of con-men and thieves to do

Mistborn: The Final Empire started off slow for the first third of the book, which is okay because of the world and magic system that had to be explained. The final third (and even the middle third) made up for it though. It was almost impossible to put the book down during the final third. Yes, I lost sleep over this book. I think I'm diving right into the second book. :)

Excellent - the world building is not overwhelming and the characters draw you into the story immediately. I cannot wait to continue in this world.
