I listened to this book on audio two years ago and it was just ok for me. This time around I checked out the hardcover from the library and am I glad I did. An incredible read with an amazing ending that gave me chills. I can't wait to start Book 2! ...more

Shelves: fantasy-and-sci-fi, ya-and-youth
This reminded me a lot of the Hunger Games or more so Battle Royale. There was much more death and unnecessary rape and other such war tactics that turned me off, but I think perhaps fans of Braveheart and Game of Thrones may like this.
