What Members Thought

Update 2023 July: I meant to read the next two books not long after I finished this book the first time, but forgot all about it until the Silo TV series came out. So two years after I read it the first time, I read it again, this time on audio. It was really good on audio, and I definitely got more out of it the second time around.

I can't even think of everything I want to say about how superb this book was to read. I know it's staying on the Nook so I can read it again. I am so very glad my sister turned me onto this excellent look at a dystopian future and glad I could turn my friend onto it too. And she liked it.
There's hope, there's grief, joy, discovery, intestinal fortitude and I cannot wait to see the movie. ...more

I cannot believe I’m saying this:
The show is so much better. I honestly can’t say if I would have finished this or not without the show. The show just has so much more depth. Maybe that’s from stuff brought in from later stories, but when compared to the show, there’s absolutely just more substance.
It is easy to see why this got a tv series though. Even though the book feels far lighter in content, there is a heavy heavy story and a very fascinating world created with the silo world.
