★★★★☆ (This is a review of the audiobook.) Well, I waited awhile to pick up the second in the Guild Hunter series and now I remember all the reasons why I did. Ms. Singh has created a brutal world of angels, filled with a little too much blood, violence and cruelty for my tastes. Still, this author is original in her world-building, writes amazing secondary characters, and is talented in her plot twists. Her take on Angels and Vampires is fascinating. I couldn’t help myself; I loved

Well, I'm enjoying the series so far. Elena awakes from a year long coma to discover she is no longer human. She is now an immortal, but as she's discovered the previous year even those considered immortal aren't. Trying to figure out the new relationship between herself and Raphael she asks, "What do I call you? Hisband? Mate? Boyfriend?"
His response, "You can call me 'Master'."

Well, I guess we'll see how long that will last. Meanwhile, other angels are not so pleased about Elena's transformati

This was so much more enjoyable to read than my last read book. I was a little worried I'd be turned off of Singh's books for awhile, but I've been wanting to read Archangel's Kiss since I reread Angels' Blood fairly recently.

Elena is getting used to her new body and her new relationship with Raphael. She also has to deal with new rules and new people now that she is no longer just a Guild Hunter, but a new Made angel, and a lover of an archangel.

Lijuan is creepy. I thought she was creepy in the

A great read! There are many reasons why Nalini Singh's writing is just captivating. So descriptive. So rich. I feel like I'm living in her pages. I'm instantly lured within the first page of her books.
This book was a bit slow moving, but I enjoyed it. Elena and Raphael are always enjoyable to read about. My fascination and likeness for Raphael continues to grow. I love seeing him grow from a lethal archangel into one lovable one. It just makes him that much more irresistible. As for Elena, she

Now an angel herself, the Guild Hunter, Elena, wakes up from a coma only to find she has been invited to a ball by an archangel. If she says no, it'll weaken Raphael's standing in the Cadre.

Thoughts on the Series
A formulaic series with HEAs. It can get violent and dark though, but it can also get repetitive. I'd suggest spacing out the books--and there are a lot of them--for days when you need a certain happy ending.

This is an incredible series! Elena continues to prove she is not some dumb chick that can't take care of herself...even as a newly made angel, still weak, she manages to kick butt! Raphael seems to still be at a lose for what to do with his hunter, but seems to be learning quickly that she will never be tamed! Can't wait to read the next installment! :) ...more

More heavy on the paranormal romance that its predecessor, it continues the story of hunter-born Elena and archangel Raphael... *sigh* I can't wait for the next in the series!

4.5*s There was plenty of danger and mystery, but overall I thought it was a beautiful love story between Elena and Raphael.
