Review of third read

I rarely truly binge. I am often a restless person, someone who gets up after reading for an hour, someone who will watch ten TV shows halfway through the season, rarely finishing any of them. Even when I love a series, or a book, or whatever, the odds are slim of me following it up in any consistent way.

Which I why I find it fascinating that I read two Hollows books right after each other without a second of unrest or boredom. No need to pick up another novel in between. Kim ...more

Rachel Morgan is a great character. She is resourceful, snarky, brave, and a witch. Rachel hangs out with a pixie, a vampire, and a human. In this book she is searching for a witch murderer.

I enjoyed this book and I am ready to read the next one.

I hitched the canvas strap holding the watering canister higher up on my shoulder and stretched to get the nozzle into the hanging plant.

The second book in the Rachel Morgan/Hollows series begins with Rachel trying to rescue a fish. Oddly enough, this caught my interest more than the first book. The usual cast is back with Ivy, Jenks and Nick. Detective Glenn Edden is introduced as a partner/handler to Rachel as she works as a consultant for the FIB. Better then the first! Delving deeper into the bonds of Rachel's relationship with her friends Ivy and Jenks and the comlications that plague them. To say nothing of the problems that arise from her Demon mark. With a thrilling conclussion, the addition of characters and even more thrilling dilemas it's a can't miss. ...more

It took me forever to finish this book, I don't know why since it was good but it just didn't catch all my attention.
I like the fact we're learning more and more about Trent because I think he's hot and I'm hoping maybe he and Rachel will get along. ...more
