★★★★★ (This is a review of the audiobook.) Man-oh-man! I loved Holter Graham’s narration of this novella, the prequel to the Alpha & Omega series by Patricia Briggs. He is so good at doing Charles Cornick’s voice; with his discipline, intelligence, protectiveness, and possessiveness all accented in an American Indian intonation. **sigh**
I’ve heard his narration for the other books in this wonderful series, but the prequel had never been recorded before. While the others are good, Mr. Graham’s re ...more

★★★★★ Wow! This one was a big surprise. I loved it! I’ve never read this author before and I can’t believe how she conveys so much with so little words. Since this is the prequel, I was off to read the first book in the series as

Alpha & Omega is an e-release of Patricia's prequel to Cry Wolf , which was initially released as a short w/in the anthology On the Prowl (Read: 11/28/2009), and the start of one of my all-time favorite series. 2nd Read 3/2017: So I guess this didn't irritate me as much the 2nd time around, but that was most likely because I was familiar with the backstory and characters and so it didn't have the same feel to me. I'm leaving the rating though, to reflect my original opinion.
Original Review 5/12/2015:
So, it wasn't that this was badly written as much as the whole thing just felt unbelievably rushed. This is the first Novella that I've read by this author, and honestly, I don't think it should have been a ...more
