Awesome book in the series. I really liked it. I have always liked Gin because she is so strong and kicks ass. In this one she shows more sensitivity and heart but also digs deep and finds more strength than ever before. Rumour was briefly that this series was ending and I was sad but thankfully that changed. I was very tempted to read the sneak peak for the next book at the end of this one but I really dislike doing that. Really looking forward to the next though and seeing how life will change ...more

I liked it. But it could have received a higher mark if it wasn't composed of 30% (or maybe more) of reminders from previous books. Which, I agree, is convenient for those who read the series long ago. Or for those who haven't read the series at all and meet Gin Blanco for the first time.
PS: And the book cover doesn't show her runes on the palms of her hands.

Yeah, it was okay. But I don't like that the series is continuing. I think it ended fine the way it was. Keeping this going can only cause problems of the Anita Blake variety. I will have to think about reading the next book(s) or just letting it rest as it is. ...more
