Shelves: magic, assassin, urban-fantasy, paranormal-romance

Felt like there were some things that were too repetitive like how she feels bad towards her sister and her reaction to her being an assassin, how she's going to kill x y z or die trying (okay, I got that the first two times no need to remind me again and again and again)
With all that the book happens in a span of a few days (I would say max 4 days) ...more

Dang. I wanted to love this installment, but other people pointed ou6t the repetitiveness and that just ruined it for me, because it's true. I don't know how many times we heard how surprised she was that the Ice was coming to her so easily, or how Owen's eyes held nothing but acceptance, or so many other details. I did like how this book was a bit more concise on the fights. I usually just end up skimming the fights, but I actually read this one. I also liked the relationship developments. So t ...more

That's it. I'm done with this series. After the appearance of yet another child-prostituting villain, I just can't read this anymore. I mean, really, another one? Because, we all know, if there's one thing Gin can't stand, the one sure thing to get her on a case, is to hurt children. So, yes, we're going there. Again. Ugh.

I was already skimming about 60% and only reading the paragraphs here and there that actually advanced the plot. But after yet another shortcut, I just can't do it. I am really ...more
