What Members Thought

This has been another great instalment in the elemental assassin series. The main character is deeply engaging and likeable. Jennifer Estep delivers on all levels in this book. The action is heart stopping and the emotional journey of the heroine is well understood and still painful to read. One of the best things about this book is the romantic interest from Owen. This comes after judgement and condemnation from a detective in the previous novels, yet Owen accepts her for exactly who she is!

That's it. I'm done with this series. After the appearance of yet another child-prostituting villain, I just can't read this anymore. I mean, really, another one? Because, we all know, if there's one thing Gin can't stand, the one sure thing to get her on a case, is to hurt children. So, yes, we're going there. Again. Ugh.
I was already skimming about 60% and only reading the paragraphs here and there that actually advanced the plot. But after yet another shortcut, I just can't do it. I am really ...more

Tangled Threads is the 4th installment in the Elemental Assasin series and it just keeps getting better and better!
In this series we follow Gin a semi-former assasin named Spider, her foster brother Finn and their two dwarf friends, Sophia & Jo-Jo who specialise in clean-up and healing as they continue on their quest to bring down Mab Monroe, the elemental who killed Gin's family and tortured her as a child.

I just can not get enough of this series.
Gin is so tough on the outside but very self-conscious on the inside. She keeps thinking that Owen is going to turn tail and run the other way someday. She also doesn't want to tell Bria that she is her sister.
In this book Gin goes head to head with another assassin called LaFleur who was hired by Mab to kill her. Gin is finally starting to realize just how strong her elemental magic is. I really liked how in this book Gin's personal life is starting to ...more

The further I get into to this series the more I love it. Gin is an awesome kick ass heroine. Love her and Owen they are so good together. The evolving relationship with Bria is looking to build to something very interesting. Love all the secondary characters they are just as important to the story as Gin, each bringing something different to the table. Now I can't wait to read the confrontation between Gin and Mab. How she gets revenge for her killing her family.

These are fun assassin books

Noooo Ms. Estep you just lost your step. Really this had to much repetition, but I think I can forgive it this time. The leading lady kept getting sent back to the healer more than five times.
I suppose that's why the book was named Tangled Threads. I can say that this book was an improvement compared to the third book though.
Cheers Pretties!
