3.5 stars. The 4th book in the great Guild Hunter series. This is Dmitri's story. He is the leader of Raphael's Seven (Raphael is the Archangel ruler of New York). Dmitri is over a thousand years old, he's a cold and vicious killer and the book starts with a flashback to his life as a mortal and the death of his one and only love. Honor is a Guild Hunter, who was recently captured and tortured/raped by evil vamps. The search for the vamps brings these two together and sparks fly.

I have had Archangel’s Blade on my shelf for months. And I put off reading it purposefully. It wasn’t my typical series anxiety where I’m all “oh, please don’t screw this up” but hesitation. I wasn’t head-over-heels for the last Guild Hunter novel. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t the same fiery writing from Nalini Singh’s earlier books. I just wasn’t game for a ho-hum read.

I don't know what it is with this series. It's got everything I love...angels, vampires, strong women, dangerous men, violence, sex, Bluebell ;). So why can't I rate it five stars? Well because it's got a lot of things I don't like abused women and alpha assholes. A too large percentage of the women in these books have been abused. Vampire, angel, human. Doesn't matter. If you're in the GH universe, you're getting abused. It's really really REALLY annoying. I love Singh's books with a passion. T

I've enjoyed Singh's Guild Hunter series, perhaps not quite as much as the Psy-Changeling stories, but still great reading. Dmitri's story turned out to be my favorite in the series so far.
All of Raphael's Seven are dangerous weapons, but Dmitri has come across as the coldest and most lethal. We learn a lot about Dmitri's past and what made him the man he is today. I don't want to spoil anything, but his making and the events surrounding it, seen in flashbacks throughout the book, make it easy t ...more

Ok. I was sooo annoyed that this one isn't about Elena. :/ hence it took me forever to read this. I've had the book for awhile my cousin even read it several times over. I just couldn't get past the fact that it isn't about Elena and I didn't want any other. :p
Being sick and stuck in my bed, I decided to give the book a chance. It's also been awhile since I read the previous book. :/ Why not try? Sure enough, I liked it. LOL. Nalini is really talented. :) I was dreading that it will in the POV o ...more

Review to come soon, but I completely adored this book.

Really liked it. My favorite scene was when Dimitri and Raphael were looking out the window towards Honor, Elena, and Ashwinii on the balcony and thinking how much has changed within the past two years. I thought that was really sweet. Singh does it again. For me, this series overshadows Psy-Changling. This is an author that is definitely on auto buy for me. I'll buy anything she publishes. Can't wait till the anthology comes out.

Not much I can say that isn't going to make me sound like a gushing fangirl. So I'll just say that I loved it. Loved Honor and Dmitri, loved the look to the past and the man that Dmitri was, loved Honor's journey to heal, and loved them together.
