Reasons I loved this book (random stream-of-thoughts review):
(1) This book quickly devolved into a dystopian tale in the last few chapters. It was fabulous and horrifying simultaneously – one of those types of stories where you can’t possibly tear yourself away from reading. You read the words and think to yourself: “How in the hell are the characters possibly going to recover from this situation?!?!?!”. This one still feels like a pivotal point in the series to me. Mac comes into her own more in this book. She becomes a little less dependent on the men in her life, and more self-sufficient. It's not easy because these men have advantages that she doesn't possess, but that doesn't stop her from trying. I've always loved that she was willing to stand toe-to-toe with these powerful beings.

AAAHHHHHHHHH Cliffhanger! Dang it all! And the 'end'...ahem...well! Barrons and Vlane both missed out, didn't they! And Mac now has 2 addictions?? And what is up with Christian? So, guess I will be reading the next one, huh?

OMG!!! I have to go out and buy Dreamfever like NOW. What a cliffhanger. This series has come a long way from the first book and just keeps getting better and better.
