Shelves: read-2012

Let me preface this by saying: I prefer to read books that have a female protagonist. I haven't read many books that feature a male protagonist (and for that matter male authors). I picked this one up based on the reviews. It wasn't bad, but not great either. My main issue was with some of the women in this book. Really, a Goddess would be that stupid?! Really!?
Beginning is a little slow (lots of information=info dump), but it picks up. Lots of action. Multiple characters make people a little ha ...more

Shelves: unusal-characters, magic, humorous, fantasy, druid, celtic

Excellent start to a series. Two thousand year old Druid, Atticus, lives in Tempe, Arizona as a 21 year old bookshop owner. Lots of Celtic myths with gods, goddesses and legends. Oberon, the Irish wolfhound, is one of my favorite characters. Very glad I have the next two in the series to dive into. 4.5 stars!
