My inner geek was truly enchanted with this, and she laughed out loud too many times for me to count! Kevin Hearne has a way with words, and the tone of his main character, the ancient 21-year-old Atticus O'Sullivan is a perfect blend of wise old druid mixed with slacker pop-culture-quoting dude.

The references were many and hilarious, from Orlando Bloom's prettiness to Harrison Ford's facial expressions, and more Star Wars than you could shake a light sabre at. My favourite: "I'm not the druid ...more
