This book took me by surprise. I love the way the story progressing from each book, and i'm glad i didn't abandon this series as i was tempted to do when i read book 1 - 3.

I think Aeron is Lord that suffered the most compare to any other Lord in the series. In the first 3 books he was consumed with Wrath because he refused to kill Danika and her family until Paris finally made a sacrifice that set him free.

He always see himself as a cold heart man while he is anything but. And i love that Oliv This book took me by surprise. I love the way the story progressing from each book, and i'm glad i didn't abandon this series as i was tempted to do when i read book 1 - 3.

In Olivia's eyes, he is selfless and he loves fully. If he loves someone he is willing to do anything to protect them.

The book open with how Aeron is finally at peace. He is no longer crazed, he got his friends, and he got Legion - a demon minion he consider as daughter, a family he always wanted to have.
His only goal at the moment was to take care of Paris who safe him which at the moment drinking himself to oblivion because of his sacrifice.

But suddenly, Olivia comes into his life, and his once peaceful life careening out of control.

Olivia is angel who was set out to kill Aeron but couldn't do it. So she instead opted to become a fallen angel and to reach out to Aeron and finally experience life.

Olivia face a mountain of challenges to be with Aeron. She sacrifice so much, her wings, her immortality, her voice, and being tortured (twice) just to be with Aeron (kind of remind me of the little mermaid by Hans Cristian Anderson - not the Disney version).

While Aeron and Wrath acknowledge the important of Olivia in their life and begins to fall in love with her. But Legion is on their way, because unlike Aeron who consider her as surrogate daughter, Legion always sees Aeron as a man she loves. And to win him, she made an unspeakable bargain.

The end of the story is a surprise and i didn't see it coming. The good thing is it keep you glued to the book until the last page.

This book also set up the next installment of the story where Gideon met his estrange wife (whom he doesn't know about) Scarlet, the keeper of nightmare.

Well, wow!!!
I'm so glad I already have the next book because the way this book ended, I would be pulling my hair out wondering what would happen next in the wait.
It started off a bit slow for me because it took a while for the rest of the story to kick in while I read through Olivia and Aeron getting to know each other.
