I was feeling a bit conflicted between giving this book a 4.5 or a 5 star rating. But in the end it was a great read, I love Kresley Cole and I just went with the 5!

OK, I really liked the past glimpses of Aidan, when he met Regin, how their relationship developed, how he wanted to protect her and she saved herself for him. And then tragedy strikes. And from there, in every reincarnation he has, the catalyst that causes his death is getting his memories back and having sex with Regin.

This is the 11th book in the Immortals After Dark Series and this one is still as well written as the previous novels.

This book features Regin the Radiant and her star crossed lover Aidan/Declan who are forever bound to each other but forever kept apart. Adrian is forever being reincarnated into another person every 500 years or so and Regin has pledged herself to him; always faithful and never taking another lover.

Loved this book. Though it has several lapses: how could Regin slap herself in the face, while her hands are bound behind her back? And "ne za chto" in Russian language is said like "you are welcome" as a reply to "thank you". In books context "dobro pozhalovat'" is more appropriate as "welcome" and "join the show":)

But after struggling for weeks with boring books, this one was like a balm on my mind. Kresley Cole has a talent to through in one book some tidbits on the next book's development ...more

I wasn't looking forward to this book and glad to have it out of the way. I don't/didn't like Declan in the beginning, middle, and end. While he did redeem himself a little, I thought he had it way too easy. His actions are explained through an attack on/murder of his family (and himself attacked/tortured) at an earlier age. Most of the other hero/heroines in previous books also had life-altering events that happened at some point during their lives; they didn't go out, capture, and order tortur ...more

Love Love LOVE IT!! I think this is one of the best books of the series! Smexy, hysterically funny (awesome quips and one-liners), intense it had it all! Kresley Cole is at the top of her game!

Side note: Please, please, PLEASE Kresley leave Thad in the IAD! I LOVED him! (yes, it's the cougar in me talking!) Age him a few years and give him mate! Do NOT make me read about him in a YA series! I BEG YOU!! ...more

This wasn't the best in the series, I had high expectations for this book since Regin is one of my favorites characters but I just couldn't get to like Aidan.
It was a little too complicated and... I don't know, it was funny and sexy but it didn't quite do it for me.

Now I wait for Lothaire's book... and maybe Phenix's too?

OMGGGGG I cried through out the whole book Regin just went through a whole bunch of shit and she kept going, and even through I wanted to slit Declan throat through out half the book in the end I ended up loving him. By far best book in the series.
