3.5 stars rounded up to 4.

I must confess that I have not read this series in order. I’ve been picking up the books at used book sales and using them in challenges whenever possible. Having read Kitty and the Dead Man’s Hand (book 5) first, I was really surprised by the reviews of this book. Surely it could not be about the same series? I kept hearing about Kitty being very submissive, almost nauseatingly so. Certainly this was not the Kitty in the later books. When I finally got to read this bo

I have been saving Kitty Norville, knowing that this was going to be a series I sunk my teeth into. It did not dissappoint. For the first part of the book I was truly disturbed by her attitude about how her alpha was treating her. Then I got how the author was using that insight to show character change/growth. Frankly, after Laurell Hamilton I have to open my mind to thinking/values way outside my comfort zone so it didn't just dawn on me that the author intended it the way she did. (hopefully ...more

Kitty Norville is in many ways your average young urban female and happens to be a werewolf. Kitty starts a late night chat show for the supernaturally challenged by accident through boredom of doing the late night shift which she took through necessity. Suddenly her show is a real hit, she gets a raise, a desk & a researcher. Great right?

Unfortunately for Kitty her success becomes her problem. Someone is not happy about her show bringing attention to the supernatural set, which in Kitty’s world

I have to say I kept putting off picking up this series for the longest time, and now I wish I hadn't. This was a really good book. Interesting, a lot of action, good characters.

I actually had the audiobook for this and the reader Marguerite Gavin did a great job. But then, I might be biased, she reads The Hollows series as well.

Not too much romance in this book. I liked the talk-show storyline. Another thing I liked was how the writing changed when she turned into a wolf.

Can't wait to start the

I would have given this book 4/5 except I hated the ending. Completely ruined it for me. I don't want to write any spoilers, but the end part that involved her pack really just made me mad and sort of ruined the book for me.

It was a good book to read though. I had trouble putting it down, so if you want a good werewolf book to read, go ahead and try this one. Just be wary of the ending.
