Shelves: fantasy, shifters

I was afraid that this series would greatly remind me of several other series with werewolves or shifters... ie. Rachael Vincent or Kelley Armstrong. This second in the series has definetly spiked my interest. I really like the characters and the government involvment in this book. I'm looking forward to contiuning the series. ...more

Shelves: what-modern-fantasy, what-vampires, what-shifters

This was awful, completely different from the first in the series. It feels like it was written by someone else. It was boring and nothing happened until near the end. There would be a moment when you thought there was danger or action and it would be over in a paragraph. There were no twists or surprises; everyone and everything was exactly what they seemed from the beginning and I figured out the ending within a couple of chapters of beginning the book. I so love this series. Kitty on her travels is asked to attend to a senate hearing on behalf of supernaturals. in this book she meetsa few supernaturals who she becomes good friends with and also discovers a few new things about herself and so does everybody else! i don't want to give anything away. but take a look at this series. it has a bit of everything.
Cormac makes a return, and we meet Ben in this one as well.

I didn't completely buy into the political plotlines in this novel, but the character of Kitty kept it enjoyable. I love seeing her responses to the paranormal world and I think she handles herself well. ...more
