What Members Thought

This series is just okay. But I thought this book was the best in the series. V was my favorite "brother" character so far. Although I found the solution or manner that V was able to be with Jane in the end kind of hokey and unsatisifying.

I find it quite funny how the Black Dagger Brotherhood books are going for me. I find myself in a pattern. I go from liking the first couple books to disliking the next few. It's really strange actually and I thought I'd like Lover Unbound too.
Going into Lover Unbound, I really loved the prologue or chapter 1, I don't remember at this point really, but it was the part where Jane finds out she is destined to be with a man named Vishous. And I completely swoon over that part, because it's like how ...more

[I also reviewed this title on my blog: Ishari's Bookshelf]
I think I've realized that the back cover blurb (BCB) on the back of the Black Dagger Brotherhood (BDB)books are only nominally descriptive. See, if we were to go by the BCB of this BDB book, we would expect a book dedicated to Vishous. And when a huge revelation about Vishous is discovered within the first fifty pages or so...you realize that yes Vishous needs an entire book to explore his background and progression within the main stor ...more

There is something about a super smart, super strong man or I mean male. I love V for many reasons. V has a dark past which somehow just makes him more sexy that he has been able to overcome what has happened to him and be apart of the Brotherhood. The fact that he is into hard sex is scary and exciting. I don't think I could handle that in real life but it sure make me love him more in the books.

I was loving this book - the best so far right up to the end. Without revealing the end - I felt like the rug was pulled out from underneath me... and V.
Charles Dickens was forced by popular demand to write another ending for Great Expectations; I'd love to see Lover Unbound with another ending. ...more

Woo-hoo! Shitkickers (that I remember) only used once! I enjoyed the glimpses into what is happening with the other characters. I appreciated the incite into V's childhood and his *awesome* father (and mother).
An annoyance: Phury needs to get over Bella STAT. And when you *know* he has a serious crush Bella consistently seeks him out, leave him alone!
Later when he meets Cormia, her level of ignorance is astounding.
