Oh Z!!! You are the perfect tortured hero. You've been through so much and have so much that you have to heal from. What a complex character the author has given us here.

He is one the sweetest guys, but also the most hard-ass and scariest warrior out there.

This is DEFINATELY a must read... Z is my favorite brother. what can I say? I'm a sucker for the misunderstood tough guy. I know the story's been done to death in good and bad ways, but this one is my favorite so far. Ward develops Zhadist's character in a way that made me want to push Bella out of the way and comfort him myself. Just wait until you see how Mr. O ends up. This is the story that I've been waiting to read since Zsadist first appeared in Dark Lover. Not only did it surpass my expectations it is quite possibly the best book I've read this year. The characters, not only Z, come to life in a way that they haven't in previous books. All the demons finally surfacing revealing the burden that the warriors carry.

After about eight rereads this is still my favorite BDB. The PTSD and self-loathing Z deals with is heartbreaking. But I have to say that Bella is one of my fave BDB heroines, she’s strong, determined, and compassionate, and knows she wants Z from the start. No love triangles here!
