Blood Bound picks up some time after the first book; in this book Stefan, the vampire that Mercy would loosely call her friend, calls in a favor and subsequently gets into trouble. Werewolves, fae, ghosts, and vampires all play an important roll in catching a demonized vampire. Briggs continues to develop her characters from the first book while also introducing us to some new faces. Mercy is believable as the girl next door who just happens to be smart and resourceful while not afraid of danger

Review later. Suffice to say Patricia Briggs is awesome with UF.

The second book in the Mercedes Walker series is just as interesting as the first one. This time, Mercy has to deal with vampires.
I don't mind vampires but I do prefer werewolves in supernatural books. So for me, it didn't mean "now it gets finally interesting". For me, it was just an added bonus.
I love the way Briggs' explores the secondary characters, from Adam's daughter to Samuel. Excellent! ...more

I stayed up late last night to finish this book, which was very exciting but also not as drawn out as I would have liked. This book had a better story than Moon Called, yet the middle investigatory part was too long and the final battle scenes too short. I would have liked more struggle and conflict and a sooner reveal of the culprits.

Just as good as the first book. Actually, I think the plot of this one might have been tighter and more exciting. I liked getting a deeper glance into the vampire world created by Ms. Briggs. Mercy is one of the great heroines in UF.
