Ok, so I did love this one. I won't say that I loved this series as a whole because I thought some of the first books were pretty weak, but this particular installment had everything I love in a UF. I finally believed that Mac and Barrons were good together, but I was sad about what happened with Dani. I am now looking forward to the Fever world novels. :) ...more

I think this is an excellent series, definitely a must-read by Paranormal romance lovers with a novel world and rich characters that tug on your heart strings. Also, some heart-stopping cliffhangers in this series! On my "How much did the characters take over my head?" rating*, I'd give this a 7 out of 10, so better than average.

There is something about this series, I'll give it that much. Practically everyone I like to exchange opinions about books with on this site has read them and loved it. Me, well not so much. I decided to finish it after having already checked it out from the library once and giving up. This time I was able to finish it, but it wasn't anything life-changing in reading for me. All in all, I think the author tied things up nicely. Some very big surprises and some very small ones, every pun intended. Looking forward to the rumors of a "next trilogy" and of course perhaps a movie. I was so involved in this series it was hard to see it end and stretched out the ending by reading slowly and savoring every last bit. ...more
