Shadowfever is intense. It’s not just that the stakes are high in this final book in the Fever series — Mac’s trying to save the world. And it’s not just many of the character’s all-or-nothing outlook. Each chapter of Shadowfever ratchets up the stakes. Just when you think you have an answer and something starts to go our way, it gets worse. Breathtaking!
Fabulous!
This book was even better than my expectations, and gave to the characters depths we wouldn't have thought of.
The whole series are a real chef d'œuvre! You can see KMM had planned everything from the beginning so the development of the plot AND the evolution of the characters are coherent.
This is a real breath of fresh air! I am so fed up with all these series in which the heroin is either flawless or a total egoistical bitch, and never evoluates through ...more

I am forever in debt of my friends for telling me to read this book. Wow what a journey, I enjoyed every part of it. I had plans to finish this book in one day but when I came to know that is the last book in this series, I took my time so that I could savor each moment.

Mac in a completely different person when compared to the first book. She has grown up and has become a bit of an ass-kicker. The chemistry in this book had me fanning myself several times. I LOVE BARRONS.

I thought it wouldn't end... I don't think Mackayla is bipolar... I think she is schitzo!

I have a lot of reactions and comments about the ending. However, I don't think it would be fair to potential readers... You'll just have to read it yourself.

Anyway, one thing I noticed is that KMM uses a lot of runabout writing... Especially when it has something to do with Mac's feelings. Ugh! On and on and on. I got it the first time around! Then again that actually helps add to the confusion and chaos ha ...more

O!M!G! From the emotionally wrenching opening chapters to the emotionally satisfying ending, Monning delivered one fantastic tale. Were there a few annoying breaks from first person perspective? Yes, but I don't care. Were there a couple questions introduced in the series that were left unanswered or at least weren't fully answered? Yes, but I still don't care. This series was amazing. I am happy with the way it ended but I am still sad that it is over. I want to continue reading about Mac and Barrons, and what adventures they have waiting for them for the rest of their long lives. I could continue reading about these characters for a long time, especially with the little questions that were left unanswered. I truly hope that there will be more books about these characters, it would be tragic not to see their tale continued.
