Excellent additon to the series. Kitty is charged with libel after speculating on the strange things that happen around Speedy Marts. The meeting with the company's CEO starts a whole avalanche of events. The second storyline follows three young men that were changed into werewolves in the military to be a part of an elite killing squad. Just as the title would make you guess, Kitty is being called on to help the military. Or well, some soldiers who are now werewolves and lost their alpha. Sort of like a rehabilitation.
While that is going on of course Kitty has to get in trouble. She starts off by asking her listeners to report any suspicious vamp activity at any Speedy Mart locations. Of course the owner right away sues her and now she has to prove that she had basis to suspect as her d ...more

Cormac is in this one and he has a nice supporting part:-) There are nice, entertaining mysteries in this book. Yes, more than one!! I kept wondering where the storyline was going with Speedy Mart. I also wondered what was up with Cormac. Adjusting to life outside of prison? Or something more? Go with the second, it was a cool surprise. (But then the first applies too). A return more to the Kitty of old, a few very nice twists and turns, well drawn new characters, solid plot.
This series still makes me happy 8 books in. Corwin is back, and although that's still a little awkward, I'm glad to see him again. I have yet to tire of Kitty's radio show, and they always tie in nicely to the story. And possibly best quality of all, Vaughn gives us actual conclusions in each book, so high five for that!
