The Army wants Kitty. Well her expertise anyway. There are 3 highly trained combat troops just back from Afghanistan who are werewolves. Trouble is their Captain, who was their Alpha, is dead and they aren't coping.

Kitty has another problem, the CEO of Speedy Mart, Harold Franklin, is suing her for libel. She enlists Cormac to find out about Franklin while she goes to meet the rogue wolves.

Turns out that one of the wolves has already killed 3 other teammates because they wouldn't acknowledge him ...more

All in all I wasn't very impressed with this installment of the Kitty Norville series. It truly got a 3.5 stars for me. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed the plot, the action, and characters. Just that the story itself with military cooperation was just laughable. A good portion of this seemed like a tour of the fort itself, and not the gritty and greasy reality of what soldiers actually do. I mean the fighting that was described by the soldiers was believable, but in a glossy veil. Kind of like a ha ...more
