Ok I need to make an announcement, my objectivity about this series is officially gone. I think I wrote a small review for the first book that was still objective. But I've since gotten super attached to the characters to the point that if I were to try to talk about them, it would come out as fangirl gushing. ...more

Ah Chess just keeps getting in deeper and deeper.
In this book she is walking a fine line by trying to not let Terrible & Bump find out that she is spending a lot of (hm hm)time with Lex. She also has a haunting involving a famous actor and his messed up family. This book had so many twists and turns and a lot of WTH moments, but in a good way. I am looking forward to seeing if Chess will ever change her lifestyle or let up off the drugs.

Book #2 in the Downside Ghosts series, and once again we have Chess, the drug addict magic using Churchwitch. This time she's being blackmailed by everyone but the church and they are just using her.
