Long vacation enabled me to finish this one faster. And I must say book two just got better. Looking forward to the next one's newer, better love interest. But I have a good feeling that we will get to see Detective Donovan again in the future. :) Can't complain there no matter how idiotic he was.
A lot to look forward too, there's the Spiders' sister, the Devereaux sisters, the Graysons' and a whole more I couldn't remember at the moment.
All in all, a good read. ...more

Gin is still awesome. Finn cracks me up and I really hope he meets his female match in an upcoming book. Donovan Caine - I am really glad the author addressed his and Gin's relationship and I like the way it ended. Looking forward to learning more about Owen Grayson in the next installment. My only issue is that the author likes to repeat information - I'm guessing it's to make sure that people who don't read the series in order can still follow along but it's a bit annoying for me. Honestly this is fascinatingly realistic for fiction, and I'm thoroughly amused with this series so far. If you're able to find it just pay attention to many of the things in the plot. It just ...more

Wooo, weee, things are heating up in Ashland! This was a great follow-up to the freshman installment of this series. Ms. Estep built on to her already wonderful world and introduced some amazing new characters, in addition to letting us (the reader) meet the “big bad!” The good detective is a bit two-dimensional for me and I do hope there are better prospects on the horizon for Gin. In any case, I can’t wait to see what happens in the fall out of this book...there are some pretty p*ssed off bad
