I really have not been a fan of this series. I barely made it through Blood Promise and despite having Spirit Bound on my shelf since its release I really wasn't that interested in picking it up. I read the first four consecutively and struggled with character and plot inconsistencies.
I really struggled to like Rose much, for the most part I think she made foolish decisions that were not balanced by sufficient motivation. Few of the other characters were appealing either though I did generally a ...more

In this penultimate Vampire Academy book, Rose Hathaway has finally reached graduation, but this only brings more trouble for her. This is definitely not a stand alone book, and you should read the previous books in the series before delving into this one. On the whole, I liked the book, but it definitely got better in the last third. The beginning featured graduation and more of Rose's antics, but it felt a little flat in comparison with the end.

It was good. I liked it. It did end on a little of a cliffhanger and I hate cliffhangers but I wasn't too surprised or upset this time. It's Richelle Mead's style.
I'm bummed that it appears poor old Adrian doesn't have a chance. I predict after a little more drama, she and Dimitri will admit their true feelings for each other and ride off into the sunset together. ...more
