I don’t like the direction this series has taken. I really liked the first and second books where the main character talked to the dead and Death visited her frequently. It was far more original. This is just a typical fae fantasy. It’s kind of boring.

I did like the ending even if it was sort of over the top and almost too perfect. But as it’s the penultimate book of the series, there’s still a lot to be wrapped up. I accidentally read these out of order and have read the next/last one, and thi ...more
