Dunno why, but I've never liked Jim for all the times he has supported Curran or Kate. He just rubs me the wrong way and appears pompous and unlikeable. I was on the fence about Dali but decided not to like her when she was an ass to Kate in one of the last books in the series. So, not a fan of the leading couple (see my rating for a hint), but I ended up liking the story simply because of the effort the authors put in researching other cultures and getting things right. We haven't had a Jim and Dali story is a while. The timing of this story was perfect, as Curran and top members of the Pack have traveled to Europe, Jim stays home in Atlanta, in charge of the Pack. And assists Dali find a missing Indonesian grandma. It definitely sounds easier than it was, as we get demonic vampiric midgets, a demonic old hag, a demon car, and a horde of zombies outside a comic book story.
