Loved the prologue (view spoiler)
Dina's Inn (Gertrude Hunt) needs guests to survive (and money). When George approaches her for help in holding a summit to broker peace between 3 warring groups on a distant planet, she says yes because the Inn has been short on guests and finances.
This was fun to read. The Inn is a living thing and interacts with Dina and her guests as needed. If you've read "The Edge" series, Gaston, George, Ja ...more

I've been wanting to check this new series out because I love all things Ilona Andrews. I have't read book one, Clean Sweep, yet (will be fixing that very soon) but it isn't necessary to enjoy Sweep in Peace. And what a freaking clever title that is once I discovered what the story was about. Oh yeah, I went in completely in the dark about the story...blurb? I don't need no stinking blurb!

Dina agrees to host a Peace Treaty Conference between three warring groups. The tension and danger from these three groups is overwhelming. The Innkeeper is run off her feet trying to keep everyone happy and prevent fighting.
Then things got really bad.
Dina, the Innkeeper, is forced to save the day and the Inn.
Great story, so inventive! I wish there really were Inns and Innkeepers like this!

Once again the Ilona Andrews duo pulls off an amazing book. I love Dina and Sean. I hope there's a third book to read.

I read this on Ilona Andrews' blog in installments.
Is a great read and a great exercise of development of characters and story, when you can extremelly easy write yourself into a corner.
Dina is a strong, interesting character, and although I found this book a bit too grim, I still enjoyed it a lot. ...more
