This is probably my least decisive review so far. I don't really know how I feel about the book. Let's start by saying that I honestly didn't know what it was about going into it, I picked it up because the name Patrick Ness was on the cover, and after reading 4 of his books, all with 5-star ratings from me, I just trust the guy to deliver. And he did. Honestly, this is not the type of book I would normally even read, but I liked it. It was slow. 100+ pages before I felt like it really started. ...more

Wow - all I can say is that this is definitely worth reading if you are at all considering doing so. And this is coming from someone who wasn't really a fan of the Chaos Walking trilogy.

There isn't too much to say about this book without giving anything away. While the mystery of what happened to Seth is compelling, I loved the book more because what happened to Seth was just a backdrop for some really great storytelling about being human.
