Shelves: fantasy, romance

I gave this book 3 stars but really probably should be more of 2 for me. I didn't outright hate it tho so I will go with 3.
When I read a book I want to be IN the book I want to feel what the characters feel, and laugh, cry, be scared, angry, something! I got nothing with this book at all. The timeline jumping all around did not allow me to connect with anyone in the book unfortunately.

There are such mixed reviews of this book that I approached it with some trepidation, attracted as I had been by a low price on Kindle. But I adored it. I am not sure why, but I was absorbed into the Night Circus as many of the characters are. It is irresistible.

I am sure many won't agree. There isn't much of a plot, it is thick with description and it took a while for me to get used to the flitting backwards and forwards through the years - it becomes obvious that strands are set to converge at ...more
