This is at the top of my favorite book/series. It was different and exciting. Takes a little to get used to all the diffrent ideas but it is a wonderful fantasy world. A MUST READ!

I reread this because I want to say I've read these books when I get questioned where I work, aha. I'm meh at this point about it, but I know a lot of people enjoy the newer series and the sequel series to this one, so we'll see.

The MC was a bit frustrating in this one, but so was her love interest. Re-reading this just reminded me of what were the stereotypical love interest tropes and how a female MC used to act. While frustrating, it was also entertaining because I know that the younger vers ...more

I have been meaning to read City of Bones for a while now, and now that I have I wonder why I waited so long. Clare has created an amazing new world that sucks you right in and doesn't let you go. I found this book very hard to put down. Clary leaves home one night to go to a club, and she discovers that there is a supernatural world that exists along side ours.
