Shelves: teen-fiction, angular-relationships, imaginative-prosed-poetry, adjusting-to-new-worlds, young-adult, adult-themes, series, over-rated, pov, bittersweet-romance

I guess I was expecting a tad bit more from this book because of the hype and reviews; it's not a bad per-se book but there is an irredeemable quality about it which just screams, 'give me up'.

... and that was before I'd read the second-half of the book.

I like the concept, there IS a bit of new along with the old, but the dialogue could have been a bit more insightful - Stiefvater has been a bit frugal in some places, me thinks - as well as the character-development, which was just awful. The w ...more

I liked this take on werewolves. Though, without all the mythology to reinforce the mythological creatures themselves, the werewolves as creatures of the night in this particular book makes the book a tad uninteresting. However, what you fall in love with are the characters. The quiet dark wolf Paul who said barely anything made me curious. Grace and Sam kind of stole the show with their love story. Shelves: werewolves, paranormal, series, first-in-series, young-adult

First two thirds it was a little bit boring for me..but the last 150 pages was really beautiful written. So because of this I give this book 3.5 stars otherwise I would give it 2 stars. Oh and the love between Beck/Sam and Sam/Grace at the end brought tears to my eyes. :(

Quite good. I liked the two main characters, and I found the idea with the temperature intriguing and original. Still not decided if I want to continue reading the series. But it was a good read!
