I literally cannot get enough of Clay and Jeremy. This book is jammed packed with them both. Oh, my heart couldn't hardly stand reading about young Clay and his survival struggles as a young wolf. Expect Clayton fan art soon. I think this was some of Kelley Armstrong's best writing, how she showed the world through a young Clay's eyes. Clay is my favorite character in her books if you hadn't noticed. Seconded by Jeremy. I do love Elena, but I love these two the most of all.

The Otherworld history of three generations of men, Malcolm, Jeremy, and Clayton, the side of the Pack which Elena and readers of the Otherworld series have largely gone unseen. I quite enjoyed Clayton's sense of dry wild humor, Malcolm's ruthlessness, and Jeremy's logic amidst so much upheaval, and the truth of his - and his mother's nature.

This isn't quite a three, and I'm rounding up due to the use of Kitsune, which I love.
The collection is really three tales, tale that are more about the development of Jeremy. It's technique true that the middle story is split into two stories, but it is really one long story told in mini stories, which gets kinda boring after a bit.
If you are a Clayton fan, you will like the story of Clayton's early years. If you're a Jamie fan, she's in the last story. The stories aren't bad, but just good. ...more
