I read this in high school. I don't remember enough of what I thought about this to give it a star rating. I don't think I liked it, but I think I did find some parts of it funny. I think generally I didn't like the idea of rewriting fairy tales to be more appropriate and see it as a form of censorship, but of course there are problems with the original stories and I think readers have to be aware of that when reading them. I think this book would have been more enjoyable had I read each story several months apart. As it was I found myself bored with the repetitive humour in the series of stories. I also find it funny that to be politically correct (tongue in cheek or not)all the women have to be ultra feminists, the animals all have to have equal rights, and the men all stay the same exploitative scum that have been passed off as "the hero" for generations.
