★★★★✩ I enjoyed this book. Shades of a past book of hers Just a Hint - Clint, but that's okay, b/c I re-read that one from time to time. Loved Molly and Dare. Molly is a nice, plain and shy writer who is about to get a movie deal. Dare a strong, dangerous hunk, who knows how to get people out of serious trouble in perilous locals; nevertheless, he’s gentle with Molly. Great introduction to the series. The characters were likable, and realistic. I felt that the romance was even more realistic then Most far-fetched romance novels seem to be. This book had it all.. romance, drama, suspense, mystery, and humor. The writing was enjoyable and engrossing, as was the story. There were a few hang ups that did bother me, like the over use of the endearment "honey", but Dare more then made up for it with his yumminess. I have been reading Lori Foster for years. I am a real fan of her category romances. I started this book once before but couldn't get into it. The second time around was the charm. This is a lovely book where we get to see the hero, Dare, and the heroine, Molly fall in love with each other. Dara is a mercenary and natural alpha protector. Molly writes romantic suspense and after her kidnapping ordeal we get to see her come more and more into her clever, practical, and strong personality.

Hmmmm......this will be grouped into my guilty pleasures pile. Was it great? -NO. Was it good? To me -Yes. I got caught up in the story and for what ever reason it permeated and I was compelled. I find it bewildering, because like I said, there really was nothing out of the ordinary or special about it. Well - the cover is wicked and does make my mental images really fun durning the VERY few but fairly hot sex scenes. I loved, loved this book! Dare is an awesomely tender alpha male. Molly is a strong and courageous damsel in distress.

Foster creates such emotion in this book. I was moved to tears by Molly's fear and Dare's ability to sense what she needed.

The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is the lack of SEX; what can I say...I'm a hussy when it comes to these alpha males and it took until like 200 pages in for them to get busy! oh but when they did, it was fantastic!!! ...more
